Golf ScoreCards, Inc. has been printing scorecards, yardage guides, brochures, postcards and other materials since 1980. Located in the beautiful state of Oregon, we are one of the largest scorecard printer in the U.S., working with over 2,000 facilities from Hilton Head to Palm Springs and back up to Chicago. Many of our customers have been with us for over ten years. We are also very proud to support a number of PGA Sections and Chapters.

We make ordering scorecards as easy as possible. You can use the Client Area section of this website to view proofs, submit comments and approve your proof. Or we can process your order the “old-fashioned” way, using a combination of phone, fax, and postal mail.

Meet Our Staff

Our company is a tightly knit group of 12 individuals, led by Byron and Cynthia Grant, the owners. We are characterized by our “stickiness” - - that is, most of the people at Golf ScoreCards have been with the company for many years. As you read the short introductions below you will observe numerous common themes (among these dogs and outdoor activities) but also those things that make each of us unique.


Byron Grant



Byron and Cynthia met when they were both attending Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. They have lived in Oregon since 1990 and together they have owned Golf ScoreCards since 2002. Byron is responsible for production, finance and operations (what Cynthia describes as the “cost” side of the equation) and is delighted to be an end user of our product. Byron loves to play golf and will often sneak out of the office early to hit balls on the range. Byron serves on the board of a local hospital and is also a mentor at a residential program for at-risk youth. He and Cynthia enjoy adventure travel, his favorite being a horseback riding safari in Kenya.

Cynthia Grant



Cynthia is responsible for the all aspects of the business that drive revenue: sales, customer service and marketing. This includes our relationships with several PGA Sections and the development of “Principles of Scorecard Design”, a free online course that is eligible for PGA member service requirement credit. Outside of work Cynthia serves as an advisor to a philanthropic family foundation and also serves on the board of Friends of the Children, a national non-profit serving vulnerable children. Cynthia and Byron are the proud owners of 165-pound Anatolian Shepard named Ayla and a feisty Catahoula named Bree. In her previous life Cynthia spent many years in the advertising business, including 10 years at Ogilvy & Mather in New York.

Renée Mangus

General Manager


Renée was born and raised in the Portland area, where she and husband D.J. are now raising their young son. When she’s not at the office she can usually be found with her nose in a book or re-watching a favorite cult classic. Our in-house “office nerd,” Renée is an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader (favorite authors include Isaac Asimov, C.S. Friedman & George R.R. Martin) and video gamer. She is very tech-savvy and has led numerous technology-related projects at Golf ScoreCards. Renée has been with Golf ScoreCards since 2006 and is the sister of Lisa, our graphic designer.

Joe Mount

Sales & Customer Service Manager


Joe has been at Golf ScoreCards since 2002, and has a reputation as a hard worker and all-around nice guy. Constantly cracking jokes, he keeps the atmosphere from getting too serious around the office. He is a big sports fan, especially when it comes to his sacred University of Oregon Ducks. A native of Lincoln City on the windswept Oregon Coast, Joe recently moved to Springfield, Missouri where he lives with his wife Beth, two children and two dogs. He spends his days in the American Heartland barbequing, coaching his daughter’s softball, basketball and soccer teams, and managing Golf ScoreCard’s Missouri branch office.

Mike Suckling

Customer Service


Mike has been an avid golfer since the day he first picked up a golf club at age 8, even playing on the golf team at the University of California at Irvine. While Mike still loves getting out on the course, most of his free time is spent with the family these days – his wife Wendy, two daughters and their dog Jack. Mike, Wendy and the girls enjoy a variety of sports, especially skiing. At the office Mike is known for his attention to detail and hilarious one-liners, and can often be found representing the company at PGA events. Originally from San Diego, he has been with Golf ScoreCards since 2003.

Brent Lambell

Sales & Customer Service


Brent has been with Golf ScoreCards since 2012 and is known for his energy and can-do attitude. Dubbed the office hobbit by his coworkers, Brent can often be found in the kitchen preparing his second (or third) breakfast when he’s not busy with sales and customer service duties. He lives with his partner Leann and two dogs, Tipsy and Indie. Brent originally hails from San Diego, but like a true Oregonian he enjoys hiking, camping, craft beer and food. His greatest passion, however, is studying historical European martial arts. In 2014 he founded a school, Indes Western Martial Arts, where he teaches swordsmanship based on medieval German manuscripts.

Sam Douglass

Customer Service


Sam moved to Portland in 2013 after graduating from the University of Oregon. A music enthusiast, pizza connoisseur and expert beer quaffer, Sam and his wife Kayleen spend their days off playing tennis, going to concerts, checking out Portland’s brewpubs and exploring the hiking trails around the city. A budding Broadway star, he also did all the voiceover work in our online scorecard design course (autographs available for the low price of $49.99). In addition to his role as a customer service representative, Sam also helps proofread cards.

Leah Black

Customer Service


A Wisconsin native, Leah was lured to Portland in 2014 by a combination of quirky culture, fleets of food carts, and the laid-back attitude of the Pacific Northwest. Joining Golf ScoreCards in March of 2015, she lives with her fiancé Quentin and has a dog named Loki, a pug. She loves the Portland lifestyle and can often be found drinking cold-brewed coffee or checking out food trucks. She’s still a Wisconsin girl at heart though, and will be a Packers fan until the day she dies. In addition to her main job as a customer service representative, she also organizes scorecards in our warehouse.

Lisa Knox

Graphic Design


Lisa is another native Oregonian, growing up in the nearby town of Canby. She’s had a strong artistic bent since she was a child, and we greatly appreciate her ability to marry aesthetics with functional design. Lisa enjoys RV camping in summer (locations with hot springs are a plus) and vacationing somewhere sunny in winter. Lisa also likes to sing and is a member of ISing Choir, an all-volunteer choir that donates their concert proceeds to various non-profit organizations in the community. Lisa has been with Golf ScoreCards since 2001, and is accompanied to work every day by her dog Dakota. She is also the sister of Renée, our General Manager.

Ed Schaffner

Production & Shipping


Originally from Colorado, Ed joined the Golf ScoreCards team in 2002. Ed is the master of multitasking: at Golf ScoreCards he composes pressruns, designs map graphics and is responsible for shipping, all with the help of his trusty four-legged companion, Riley. When he’s not at work Ed likes hiking, reading, cooking and keeping up on the news. When taking a break at the office, you can often find him tackling the New York Times crossword puzzle.

Sylvia Brood

Customer Service & Bookkeeper


Sylvia landed at Golf ScoreCards after many years in retail sales and management. She attributes her knowledge of golf, particularly bogeys, to her husband Dan, a sports writer and photographer. They have lived in the Portland area for more than 20 years. They have two children and a dog named Dyson, who follows Kirby and Hoover in a line of well-loved, vacuum-named pets. Sylvia enjoys reading, cooking, the fickle Oregon sunshine and television shows about surviving the zombie apocalypse. At the office her duties are divided between customer service, bookkeeping and completing the crossword puzzle when the rest of the office can’t.

Jordan Sanders

Customer Service & Production Assistant


Jordan is the newest member of the Golf ScoreCards team and a recent transplant from Nashville, TN. He moved to Portland after living in Spain for 2 years where he taught English to children, travelled Europe, and ate lots of delicious Spanish omelettes. He has quickly become the office “punny” guy, using his linguistic talents for daily pun humor. Most notably, he does not speak in a Southern accent—much to the dismay of his co-workers. In his spare time, Jordan enjoys writing fiction and poetry, reading, watching Indie flicks, drinking craft beer, collecting vinyl records, and embracing every other aspect of his stereotypical Portlandness (Handle Bar mustache not included). When he isn’t fulfilling his duties as a proofreader or customer service representative, you can find him representing the crossword puzzle JV Team in the break room.
